Northern New England Teachers of English as a Second Language (NNETESOL) is looking for an individual who is committed to the field of English language instruction and interested in the treasurer position!

As the treasurer you would be responsible for recording, maintaining, monitoring and conducting the financial business of the association; and presenting a financial report at each Executive Board meeting and the annual business meeting.  The
executive board meets four times a year via teleconference calls and face-to-face to implement policy matters, conduct the daily business of the association and oversee its work.  All board members assist in planning and executing conference(s) and
are expected to be members of the national organization TESOL.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at shelly.chasse@maine.edu if you have
any additional questions.

If you are interested in the treasurer position of NNETESOL, please submit a one-page letter of intent to Beth Evans, Past-President, at nnetesol@nnetesol.org.  The letter of intent will be distributed to all Board
members during the next board meeting, at which time a candidate will be chosen. In your letter be sure to respond to the following questions:
What experience do you have that would be relevant to the job responsibilities of the Board position you are seeking?
What job or volunteer responsibilities do you currently hold?
What ideas do you have to assist the board to better meet the needs of our members?
Participation at our quarterly meetings is essential for effective participation on the board. Meetings are either in person the Friday afternoon before our conferences or via conference call. Do you have any work or other conflicts that would
preclude attending these meetings?
All Board members are encouraged to assist in planning our conferences and/or lead workshops. Do you have any experience in this area?
Do you have any other ideas for ways in which we can make this organization stronger and better?

Thank you,
Shelly V. Chasse-Johndro, M.Ed.
President-Elect, Northern New England Teachers of English as a Second Language (NNETESOL)
